Benjy is an upright bassist who plays improvised free form music, standards, classical and folk music. Benjy moved to New York in the fall of 2002 to study jazz, and has since explored many other genres. In the Fall of 2005 he lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina, studying Spanish, Tango and classical bass while contributing to the jazz and improvised music scene. Now back in Brooklyn, Benjy is finishing his degrees at The New School, and can be found playing all around the city.
