Sarah began by studying classical music, but soon found that it was folk music that really lit her up. She moved to Asheville, N.C. where she delved deeply into old-time American music, and has traveled as far as Nova Scotia and Eastern Europe in order to be where people sit around playing tunes, dancing and drinking until the break of day. In addition to the Luminescent Orchestrii, Sarah plays with Irish and old-time bands in NYC.
