As bassist of note in too many bands to count, Aaron has been navigating the lower frequencies of music for over 15 years. Initially inspired by the subtle basslines of early postpunk, electro and goth, the later explored the eclectic terrains of reggae, ska, funk, free jazz, early Americana and ambient music. Early on as a self-taught musician, Aaron developed a style of solo bass composition relying on classical fingerpicking techniques, which has come to fruition through the use of his modified Mexican acoustic bass guitar, the guitarron. Aaron's guitarron is a six-string fretless bass, featuring a lengthened fingerboard, which allows him to play melodically with an extended range. He can be heard playing a variety of music in NYC, from the old-time and Eastern European sounds of the Strung Out String Band, to the bluegrass stylings of the Dawn Breakers, to the lo-fi bilingual acoustic indie music of Solo Dos En Tijuana.
